Forgetting you my professor.
"When we see the earth from space we see it as a whole...we see the unity, not the divisions."
- Stephen Hawking
"To see a World in a Grain of Sand"
- William Blake
It was the darkest of nights with the brightest of stars.
Dead things remind the living that the point is in the doing.
Our fragile planet is orbiting a time traveler
hoping with all my heart that you will let me live in your dream.
In the reflection of the light in the eyes of some alien being looking up at the stars.
that maybe you too are reaching outward while trying to be content.
I will take vain hope over the active submission to my death drive.
I will take before I lose appreciation of how wonderful...
the opportunity to lose to the ultimate power of the universe...
to fall before the monsters with tears in my eyes.
Hope slowly beginning to seem like there is no point to it.
at last, content to stare towards a light surrounded by darkness.
