Dragon ball and Enlightenment

Keep moving forward towards the direction of your soul. Towards the person you want to be. Towards the light like a northern star that shapes your path.

Dragon ball was very important to me as a kid. It gave me a religious (though I view it as idolatry now) kind of hope. Later Chrono Trigger with its Dr Who meets Dragon Ball Aesthetic rocked my world to its core. I think Chrono Trigger is as close to an objective masterpiece as video-games have ever gotten.

But so much of what is communicated is projected as we grow and we attribute that growth to the lattices of art that inspires us.

What was so inspirational about DB? It was the idea that hard work paid off. That dedication to a task, a dream, an aspiration was all we needed as a posture towards the universe to succeed.

If faith is a posture towards God that we know our place and will continue in that place towards the future and whatever he expects of us.

Then hope is a posture towards faith that ultimately life is worth living. We march onwards towards a personal climax that we may never arrive at but the carrot on the stick of hope keeps us with our broken hearts marching onwards towards something that is better than giving up.

Giving up is death. Death is the enemy. We march onwards with our faith and hope trying to find a place where even the little life’s find peace.

I hope you continue on your journey today.

Peace and love.
